I wanted to preview how a repaint would look on a Brompton before committing to it, so I built a browser tool that renders the bike on a canvas and lets you recolour it live.

Brompton Colour Planner showing a Brompton with a custom frame colour and tan-wall tyres

The Brompton Colour Planner — recolour the frame, fork and rear triangle and compare tyres in a live preview.

What it does

  • Recolour the main frame, fork and rear triangle independently, plus the stem, chain and cables.
  • Pick from the standard Brompton palette, RAL Classic colours, or a custom HEX code.
  • Compare nine tyre models, including tan-wall options.
  • Randomize, save/load builds, and download a PNG.

It runs entirely in the browser — no uploads, no account. The on-screen colours are approximate previews, useful when planning a repaint, respray or restoration.
