About the Brompton Colour Planner

Preview Brompton colours and plan a repaint or respray before you commit.

Brompton Colour Planner is a free, independent tool for trying custom paint colours and component combinations on a Brompton folding bike. Change the main frame, fork and rear triangle separately, compare tyre models, and save or download the builds you like — handy when you are planning a repaint, a respray or a restoration.

Brompton colours in the planner

Every part starts from a standard Brompton palette. You can preview the main frame, fork, rear triangle, stem, chain and cables in these colours: Matcha Green, Matte Black, Racing Green, Bumblebee Yellow, Dune Sand, Sunset Orange, Yuzu Lime, Ocean Blue, Flamingo Pink, Turkish Green, Palm Green and Plum Red.

Region masks let you recolour the frame, fork and rear triangle independently, so you can build a two-tone scheme — a black fork with a coloured main triangle, for example — and watch it update live.

Brompton colour codes, RAL and custom paint

If the standard colours are not quite what you want, open the custom-colour modal to search the RAL Classic range or enter a HEX colour code, with matte and gloss-style finishes. The tinting keeps some of the illustration's shading, so highlights and shadows still read on recoloured parts.

Screen colours are approximate and are not official Brompton paint codes. The finished appearance depends on the paint formulation, surface preparation, lighting and your display, so use the planner to explore and compare ideas rather than to match an exact shade.

Plan a repaint or respray

Thinking about a repaint, a respray or a full restoration? Use the planner to try colour combinations on a render of the real bike first, compare options side by side, and download a PNG or save a design to refer back to before the frame goes to the painters.

Compare tyres

The planner includes nine tyre models, from stock-style black tyres to tan-wall options: Standard (Marathon Racer), Continental Urban Tan, Schwalbe Almotion, Schwalbe Kojak, Schwalbe Marathon Plus, Schwalbe Marathon Racer Tan, Schwalbe One Tan, Schwalbe One and Joseph Kuosac. Because the tyre artwork is composited over the rest of the bike, you can see how each one looks against your chosen frame colours.

This is a visual comparison only. The tool does not provide tyre specifications, sizing, compatibility or availability information.

Frequently Asked Questions

What colours are available on a Brompton?

The planner covers a standard Brompton palette: Matcha Green, Matte Black, Racing Green, Bumblebee Yellow, Dune Sand, Sunset Orange, Yuzu Lime, Ocean Blue, Flamingo Pink, Turkish Green, Palm Green and Plum Red — plus RAL Classic and custom HEX colours.

Can I see a different colour before repainting or respraying my Brompton?

Yes. Choose your colours and see them on the bike in an interactive preview before you commit, then download a PNG or save the design to refer back to later.

Does the planner give Brompton paint codes or RAL matches?

It shows RAL Classic colours and HEX values you can use as a starting point, but these are approximate screen colours and not official Brompton paint codes. Confirm the final shade with your painter or paint supplier.

Can I change the frame, fork and rear triangle separately?

Yes. Region masks let you recolour the main frame, fork and rear triangle independently, as well as the stem, chain and cables.

Can I preview different Brompton tyres, such as tan-wall tyres?

Yes. You can compare nine tyre models, including tan-wall options, against your chosen frame colours. It is a visual comparison and does not provide tyre specs, sizing or compatibility.

Is the Brompton Colour Planner free and official?

No. It is a free hobby project made by an independent Brompton owner. It is not connected to, sponsored by or approved by Brompton Bicycle Ltd, which is named only to say which bike it helps you picture.
